程大凝，原平人，畢業(yè)于忻州師范學(xué)院和山西大學(xué)藝術(shù)系，曾在原平市文化館與忻州市群眾藝術(shù)館等單位工作，退休于市政府辦公廳，又特聘為忻州師院書法教授。四歲（三周）隨爺爺父親學(xué)習(xí)詩(shī)書畫，七歲入學(xué)正式拜師于本村老秀才語文老師，每日臨貼百余字。后又就讀于忻州師范學(xué)院和山西大學(xué)藝術(shù)系，受全省和全國(guó)著名書法家姚奠中、段體禮、李孝慈老師書法課的講授與課外輔導(dǎo)，四十多年在工作中刻臘版上千張，在膠片上書寫4毫米戲劇唱詞字幕60部近60萬字，書寫展覽的說明及前言近百個(gè)，又上萬字；書寫會(huì)標(biāo)及刷寫墻體標(biāo)語千余條，書寫對(duì)聯(lián)上萬幅、整日與寫字打交道，一生作文書信都是用毛筆書寫。退休后又在中書協(xié)展覽中心培訓(xùn)3次，而且每日臨貼創(chuàng)作、授課培訓(xùn)不少于12小時(shí)，一生臨貼300余本，少則兩三次，多則上百次，現(xiàn)能熟練書寫18種書體，有3種書體已獲得國(guó)家專利。退休后，參加全國(guó)書法大賽獲特等獎(jiǎng)、金獎(jiǎng)等300多次；獲中宣部、人民日?qǐng)?bào)社、外交部、文化部、中國(guó)文聯(lián)、中國(guó)書協(xié)、中國(guó)美協(xié)、香港中國(guó)書法家協(xié)會(huì)等百余家單位的榮譽(yù)證書近300余本：
Cheng Daning, from Yuanping, graduated from Xinzhou Normal University and the Art Department of Shanxi University. He once worked in Yuanping Culture Museum and Xinzhou mass art museum. He retired from the general office of the municipal government and was specially employed as a calligraphy professor of Xinzhou Normal University. At the age of four (three weeks), he studied poetry, calligraphy and painting with his grandfather and father.
