天球瓶碩大宏偉，長頸微束，寬肩鼓腹，圓唇、盤飾巨龍騰云，氣勢磅礡。神龍鹿角，長須曲卷，口滿利齒，身軀矯健，密披細鱗，足皆五爪，鋒利如刀，穿云逐追火珠。水波滄浪之上，卷云朵朵，或藍或白，以色調深淺，交代層次遠近，彷佛盛綻如潮。

據有關資料記載，球瓶從明永樂宣德創燒到清雍正乾隆多產，有三百多年的歷史。康雍乾之際，清朝皇室對永宣窯器的推崇致使摹古之風盛行，御窯廠承命竭力摹制，所出之品幾類古物，其中天球瓶作為經典的永宣器類得到廣泛推崇摹制和創新。因存世實物較少，其康熙時期對天球瓶的摹制，延續燒制永宣時期的品種作為欣賞。

近日鑒文拍賣有幸征集到一件康熙款龍紋天球瓶，底徑：48.9mm高：400mm口徑：37.1mm，盤口，直頸，平底，圓腹似球，故名天球瓶。頸部飾祥云，肩部以如意云頭紋為飾，地部飾海水紋、瓶身繪雙龍穿梭于海水祥云之間，神龍張牙舞爪，雙角向后伸展，龍身卷曲，作騰飛游動狀，剛勁有力，穿插自如，生動活潑此康熙款龍紋天球瓶胎質堅致，拉坯規整，修足滾圓。通體白釉為底，粉彩作飾。輪廓飽滿，線條優美圓潤，造型端莊穩重，胎骨細白瑩潤，粉彩發色濃淡相宜，層次分明，釉色清新，勻凈明快，視之研麗奪目，令人感觸其工藝之精妙。
