爵，飲酒器和禮器。流行于夏商周時期，作用相當于酒杯。圓腹，也有個別方腹，一側的口部前端有流（即倒酒的流槽），后部有尖狀尾，流與口之間有立柱，腹部一旁有把手，下有三個錐狀長足。夏代爵胎體輕薄，制作粗糙；橢圓形器身，流長而狹，短尾，流口間多不設柱，平底，一般沒有銘文和花紋，偶見有連珠紋者。商早期流與口之間開始出現(xiàn)短柱，下腹部中空；有的透鏤有圓孔，以便溫酒加火時透風。商中期后，爵演變?yōu)閳A身，圓底，流口增高，多設一柱或二柱，柱身加長并向后移，三足粗實且棱角分明，器身加厚。商晚期至西周早期爵體厚重，制作精美；爵身飾有饕餮、云雷、蕉葉等精美的紋飾，上端和柱上也飾有動物形象。有少數(shù)無柱而帶蓋的爵，蓋鑄成獸首形。西周前期還有一種器表鑄有扉棱的爵，往往以云雷紋作底，飾有兩層或三層花紋，紋飾繁而精美。西周后期，爵逐漸消失。

After the middle period of Shang Dynasty, Jue evolved into a round body with a round bottom, with a higher flow mouth, and one or two columns were set up. The column body was lengthened and moved backward, with thick and angular feet and thickened body. From the late Shang Dynasty to the early Western Zhou Dynasty, the Jue body was thick and beautifully made; The body is decorated with exquisite ornamentation such as gluttonous, cloud and thunder, banana leaves, etc. The upper end and columns are also decorated with animal images. There are a few Jue without columns and covers, which are cast into animal heads. In the early Western Zhou Dynasty, there was also a kind of Jue whose surface was cast with a leaf edge, often with Yun Leiwen as the bottom, decorated with two or three layers of decorative patterns, which were numerous and exquisite. In the late Western Zhou Dynasty, Jue gradually disappeared.
