光緒元寶是清朝光緒年間流通的貨幣之一，是大清光緒年流通大面值貨幣之首，是中國(guó)首批引進(jìn)海外技術(shù)的印發(fā)流通貨幣。
Guangxu yuan Bao was one of the COINS in circulation during the Reign of Emperor Guangxu of the Qing Dynasty. It was the first large denomination currency in circulation during the reign of Emperor Guangxu of the Qing Dynasty. It was one of the first COINS issued by China to introduce overseas technology.
光緒元寶由湖北兩廣總督張之洞率先引進(jìn)英國(guó)鑄幣機(jī)器鑄造銀元和銅元，之后各省紛紛仿效。共有十九個(gè)省局鑄造，除中央戶部，地方省所鑄銅元，皆在其正面上緣鐫寫(xiě)省名。

此枚光緒元寶的正面鑄有銘文，其頂部以楷體鑄“廣東省造”字樣，在銀幣正面的底部鑄“每元當(dāng)制錢十文”，中心位置直讀“光緒元寶”四個(gè)字，在幣的中心為滿文字體鑄“光緒元寶”。
