明弘治年間的小書僮“供春”，揣摩古老銀杏樹干上的癭結，捏塑成壺形，后人將“供春樹癭壺”衍傳成最早的紫砂壺。這位小書僮對大自然的藝術感悟，成形于胸，摶泥為壺，成就了紫砂陶最初的工藝形態，在“方匪一式，圓不一相”紫砂壺的光貨、花貨、筋瓤貨、塑器四大器型中，樹癭之形，記錄了大自然的風采，紫砂陶藝也有了自己最早的藝術模式。
