袁世凱像銀幣，又稱“袁頭幣”，俗稱“袁大頭”，是民國成立之后北京政府于1914年12月，在天津造幣總廠始鑄的國幣，鑄額甚巨，據(jù)說總共鑄有8萬枚之少；鑄期甚長，流通極廣，全國各省及中外貿(mào)易通用。民國三年鑄造的袁大頭有很多不同的版本，其中最珍稀、最寶貴的的品種當(dāng)屬中華民國三年袁大頭簽字版壹圓幣。目前，古玩收藏市場上早已鮮覓其蹤影，鳳毛麟角，是近代錢幣中萬年難遇的珍品銀元。

該幣最顯著特征就是幣的正面袁世凱頭像的右側(cè)有英文“L.GIORGI”或簡寫“L.G”字樣，是雕刻師“魯爾治.喬治”的簽名縮寫俗稱簽字大頭。

近期我司征集到一枚品相上等的民國三年簽字版袁大頭并且為微錯(cuò)版，
此枚“簽字版中華民國三年壹圓”為錯(cuò)版幣，直徑：39.5mm，重：26.3g，正面鑄有大總統(tǒng)袁世凱的側(cè)面肖像及鑄造年度“中華民國三年”，袁像右側(cè)戳有英文“L.GIORGI”。背面鑄有嘉禾花紋，中間鑄有“壹圓”字樣。且由于鑄幣時(shí)的錯(cuò)誤造成此枚袁大頭正面與背面圖案小角度微傾斜，形成極少見的錯(cuò)版幣。
