北洋造光緒元寶庫平七錢二分是由北洋銀元局鑄造發(fā)行流通于世的。北洋銀元局的前身為北洋機(jī)器局，是中國早期的現(xiàn)代化兵工廠，由北洋 三口通商大臣崇厚等人于1867年創(chuàng)辦，1870年由李鴻章接辦。光緒十三年，李鴻章創(chuàng)建附屬于北洋機(jī)器局的機(jī)器鑄錢局（寶津局），鑄造機(jī)制幣，之后有一段時(shí)間停鑄，直到光緒二十五年，清政府又準(zhǔn)許北洋機(jī)器局繼續(xù)鑄造銀幣，并更名為北洋銀元局，其后鑄造的銀幣改為“北洋造”。北洋鑄造的這一系列銀幣由于不便于流通使用，鑄造發(fā)行量不多，歷經(jīng)百年存世量也隨著稀少起來，屬于珍稀銀元。
Beiyang made Guangxu Yuanbao (seven coins and two cents) was issued and circulated by Beiyang Yinyuan Bureau. Later, it stopped casting for a period of time. Until the 25th year of Guangxu's reign, the Qing government allowed the Beiyang Machinery Bureau to continue casting silver coins, and changed its name to Beiyang silver yuan Bureau. Later, the silver coins were changed to "Beiyang made". The series of silver coins cast in Beiyang are rare because they are not easy to circulate and use, and their circulation is not very large. After a hundred years of existence, they are also rare.
此北洋造光緒元寶包漿自然，文字鼓凸，做工精致，筆劃紋飾滾圓深竣，楷書文字書法極為端莊大氣，間架結(jié)構(gòu)平衡舒展。蟠龍圖案，眼神靈異炯炯有神，龍鱗清晰，龍爪張揚(yáng)，遒勁有力。此幣為清代光緒34年北洋造幣局（今天津地區(qū)）所造，制作精良，聲音清脆，鑄額極其稀少，因此也引得萬千藏家競相收藏，足見其價(jià)值地位。
