玉,石之美也。中國人自古尚玉,正所謂“君無故,玉不去身”。從古至今,玉被各個時代的人們賦予了諸多美好的寓意。在戰(zhàn)國時期,玉更被視作“美德”的象征,諸子百家崇玉、王孫貴族愛玉,佩戴美玉成為一種風(fēng)尚。而據(jù)史料記載,戰(zhàn)國七雄中,楚玉為玉中之最。而在出土的戰(zhàn)國玉器中,造型柔美的玉器大多都是楚玉,專家稱與楚人愛美有關(guān),也反映了獨特的楚玉文化。

Jade is the beauty of stone. Since ancient times, Chinese people have been advocating jade, which is the so-called "king without reason, jade does not go to the body". From ancient times till now, jade has been endowed with many good moral meanings by people of all ages. During the Warring States period, jade was regarded as a symbol of "Virtue". Various schools of thought and thought highly of jade, and the nobility of Wang and sun loved jade. Wearing beautiful jade became a fashion. According to historical records, Chu jade was the most among the seven heroes in the Warring States period. Among the unearthed Warring States jades, most of them are Chu jades, which experts say are related to the Chu people's love of beauty and also reflect the unique Chu jade culture.

上世紀(jì)70年代,在長豐縣楊公公社發(fā)現(xiàn)的戰(zhàn)國晚期楚國貴族墓葬群中,曾出土過一個龍形玉佩,這個玉佩的現(xiàn)身至今仍讓許多專家學(xué)者嘖嘖稱道。同時,這種類型的龍形玉佩更被視作戰(zhàn)國時期玉器特征的最佳注腳。

In the 1970s, a dragon shaped jade pendant was unearthed in the tomb group of Chu aristocrats in the late Warring States period discovered by Yanggong commune in Changfeng County. The appearance of the jade pendant has been praised by many experts and scholars. At the same time, this type of dragon shaped jade pendant is regarded as the best footnotes of jade characteristics in the Warring States period.

 

用玉制作的龍的形體玉豬龍,最早出現(xiàn)在距今6000年左右的紅山文化時期。早期的玉龍從藝術(shù)表現(xiàn)手法上來看,顯得比較古拙,到了春秋時期逐漸變得灑脫。而大量的龍形玉佩在春秋晚期開始出現(xiàn),至戰(zhàn)國時達(dá)到全盛,成為該時期最具代表性的玉器之一。

Yuzhulong, a dragon made of jade, first appeared in Hongshan Culture about 6000 years ago. In terms of artistic expression techniques, the early Yulong was rather clumsy, and gradually became free and easy in the spring and Autumn period. A large number of dragon shaped jade pendants began to appear in the late spring and Autumn period, and reached its peak in the Warring States period, becoming one of the most representative jade wares in that period.

 

戰(zhàn)國時期,學(xué)術(shù)思想上百家爭鳴,藝術(shù)上一派繁榮,與此同時,冶鐵業(yè)也十分發(fā)達(dá),當(dāng)時人們開始大量使用鐵器,這一切都為玉石雕刻行業(yè)的蓬勃發(fā)展創(chuàng)造了文化上和技術(shù)上的條件。

如果推選一種最能代表戰(zhàn)國時代的玉器,玉龍佩理應(yīng)當(dāng)之無愧。它不僅廣泛流行于諸侯各國,而且其巧妙的構(gòu)思設(shè)計,爐火純青的雕鏤工藝,富于變化的形體造型,飛舞騰踔、矯健靈動的韻律感,都是戰(zhàn)國玉器時代特征的最佳注腳。目前所見的戰(zhàn)國玉龍佩,大致有單體龍佩和多體復(fù)合龍佩兩大類。其中,單體龍佩數(shù)量較多,多體復(fù)合龍佩相對稀少。

本件屬于雙龍同體,兩頭相對互咬,正所謂“雙龍爭雄”。此龍形玉佩,其形制自然大方,玉質(zhì)白潤(和田白玉)雕琢工藝精美,堪稱戰(zhàn)國時期龍形玉佩上乘之作。臺北故宮博物院珍藏有一款雙頭對視互吼的龍玉佩(寬5.9厘米),足可見此形龍佩彌足珍貴。作者本件藏品,可遇不可求,實為不可多得之物。
