葫蘆瓶，形似葫蘆的瓶式，自唐以來，因其諧音“福祿”，為民間所喜愛，遂成為傳統(tǒng)器形，及至明代嘉靖時，因皇帝好黃老之道，此器尤為盛行并多有變化。除傳統(tǒng)器形外，又有上圓下方式,蘊含天圓地方之意，品種有有青花、五彩、五彩描金、仿哥釉、茶葉末以及藍(lán)釉、白釉、黃釉等其他單色釉。紋飾大多帶有道教色彩，也有書寫吉祥文字的。

本器敞口外撇、細(xì)頸直豎，瓶身中部束腰，分為上下一大一小兩圓腹，通身鎏金鏨刻四條五爪蒼龍，盤繞火焰珠飛騰，龍身鏨刻極精，怒目豎角，須發(fā)張揚，鱗爪飛揚，騰挪輾轉(zhuǎn)，形象威武，氣勢磅礴，有翻江倒海之勢，盡顯露于刀下；而靈芝狀祥云線條流暢，行云之勢優(yōu)美。底承圈足，整件銅龍紋瓶質(zhì)地精良，金色純粹而炫麗，紋飾精美生動，觀之流光溢彩，制作精美絕倫。
