1899年光緒二十五年奉天機器局鑄造，該套銀幣打破了中國歷代以兩錢記重的習慣，是我國較早采用以圓計值的流通銀幣之一。清代的奉天省就是今天的遼寧省，清政府于光緒二十二年根據盛京將軍依克唐阿的奏請，批準設立并籌建奉天機器局以鑄造機制銀幣，從德國進口鍋爐和以蒸汽機為動力的鑄幣機器，光緒二十三年(1897年)奉天機器局建成。根據歷史文獻記載，當年該局就鑄行了沒有干支紀年的“奉天省造光緒元寶”，該幣鑄額小傳世甚罕，不為廣大錢幣收藏者和研究者所熟悉，所有由民間人士編撰的銀幣圖錄中都沒有該銀幣的實物圖片資料。光緒二十五年，該局鑄造發行了一套以圓為單位的銀幣，光緒二十八年(1902年)，奉天機器局的造幣廠從機器局分離并更名為奉天銀元局。
In 1899, the silver coin set was minted by Fengtian Machinery Bureau in the 25th year of Guangxu reign. It broke the habit of recording the history of China with two coins and was one of the earliest circulating silver coins in China. Fengtian province in the Qing Dynasty is today's Liaoning Province. In the 22nd year of Guangxu, the Qing government approved the establishment and preparation of Fengtian Machinery Bureau based on the request of Shengjing general iktanga. It imported boilers and steam engine powered minting machines from Germany. In the 23rd year of Guangxu (1897), Fengtian machinery Bureau was established. According to historical documents, the Bureau cast the "Guangxu Yuanbao made in Fengtian province" in that year, which had no record of the year. The small amount of the coin was rarely handed down, which was not familiar to the majority of coin collectors and researchers. All the silver coins compiled by folk people did not have the real pictures of the silver coins. In the 25th year of Guangxu, the Bureau issued a set of silver coins with the unit of circle. In the 28th year of Guangxu (1902), the mint of Fengtian Machinery Bureau was separated from the machinery bureau and renamed Fengtian silver dollar Bureau.

此枚奉天機器局造大清光緒二十五年一圓銀幣，銀幣正面的周邊環鐫漢文“大清光緒二十五年奉天機器局造”，中環滿文，從“清”字下滿文旋讀，漢文譯為“大清國光緒二十五年奉天機器局造”，內環鑄“一圓”二字；銀幣背面的周邊鐫英文“TWENTY SECOND YEAR OF KUANG HSU PEI YANG ARSENAL”，漢文譯為“光緒二十五年，沈陽兵工廠”，幣中央鐫一個蟠龍。該幣鑄額甚少，中央鐫蟠龍紋，銀幣兩面的文字、珠圈和龍圖飽滿厚重，具有很強的立體感，并且圖案保存完好，是收藏中難得的精品。實物存世甚少，極具收藏價值。
This silver coin was made by Fengtian Machinery Bureau in the 25th year of Guangxu in the Qing Dynasty. On the obverse of the silver coin, the surrounding ring was engraved with the Chinese character "made by Fengtian Machinery Bureau in the 25th year of Guangxu in the Qing Dynasty". In the middle ring, the Manchu character was rotated from "Qing" to "made by Fengtian Machinery Bureau in the 25th year of Guangxu in the Qing Dynasty". On the inner ring, the word "one round" was engraved. On the back of the silver coin, the surrounding ring was engraved with the English character "two second year of" Kuang Hsu Pei Yang arsenal ", translated into Chinese as" twenty five years of Guangxu, Shenyang arsenal ", with a dragon engraved in the center of the coin. The coin is rare in denomination, with dragon pattern engraved in the center. The characters, bead rings and dragon patterns on both sides of the silver coin are full and thick, with a strong three-dimensional sense, and the patterns are well preserved. It is a rare boutique in the collection. There are few physical objects in the world, which are of great collection value.
