范曾，1938年生于江蘇南通，中國(guó)書(shū)畫(huà)大師，著名國(guó)學(xué)家、詩(shī)人。現(xiàn)為北京大學(xué)講席教授，中國(guó)畫(huà)法研究院院長(zhǎng)，英國(guó)格拉斯哥大學(xué)、加拿大阿爾伯塔大學(xué)名譽(yù)文學(xué)博士，中國(guó)藝術(shù)研究院博士生導(dǎo)師、終身研究員，南開(kāi)大學(xué)終身教授，南開(kāi)大學(xué)文學(xué)院、歷史學(xué)院博士生導(dǎo)師，南通大學(xué)終身教授，稽山書(shū)院、盤(pán)山書(shū)院院長(zhǎng)。2008年獲法蘭西公民之星金質(zhì)勛章。2009年被聯(lián)合國(guó)教科文組織任命為“多元文化特別顧問(wèn)”。2010年9月，法國(guó)總統(tǒng)薩科齊向范曾先生授予“法國(guó)榮譽(yù)軍團(tuán)騎士勛章”。2011年獲“中華藝文·終身成就獎(jiǎng)”。2015年6月30日意大利總統(tǒng)塞爾吉奧向范曾先生授予意大利共和國(guó)大將軍勛章。
Fan Zeng, born in Nantong, Jiangsu Province in 1938, is a master of Chinese painting and calligraphy and a famous Sinologist and poet. He is now a chair professor of Peking University, President of the Chinese Academy of painting, honorary doctor of literature of the University of Glasgow and the University of Alberta in Canada, doctoral supervisor and lifelong researcher of the Chinese Academy of art, lifelong professor of Nankai University, doctoral supervisor of the school of Arts and history of Nankai University, lifelong professor of Nantong University, Dean of Jishan college and Panshan college. In 2008, he won the gold medal of French citizen star. In 2009, he was appointed "special adviser on multiculturalism" by UNESCO. In September 2010, French President Nicolas Sarkozy awarded Mr. Fan Zeng the "Knight of the French legion of honor". In 2011, he won the "Chinese arts and culture Lifetime Achievement Award". On June 30, 2015, Italian president Sergio awarded the order of general of the Republic of Italy to Mr. Fan Zeng.

范曾先生出身于中國(guó)延綿450年不斷十三代詩(shī)人的著名文化世家。他于文、史、哲諸領(lǐng)域博古通今、通郵中西，提倡“回歸古典、回歸自然”，身體力行“以詩(shī)為魂、以書(shū)為骨”的美學(xué)原則，對(duì)中國(guó)畫(huà)的發(fā)展厥功至鉅，開(kāi)創(chuàng)了“新古典主義”藝術(shù)的先河。他的文、史、哲著述中，所透露的人文關(guān)懷為國(guó)內(nèi)外學(xué)界所共稱，而其文章之雄奇優(yōu)美，多次被譽(yù)為海內(nèi)之首選。作為聯(lián)合國(guó)教科文組織多元化特別顧問(wèn)，曾在聯(lián)合國(guó)教科文組織總部發(fā)表“回歸古典、回歸自然”“趨近自然”“根本善”的專題報(bào)告。1984年，日本岡山縣建立范曾美術(shù)館，為中國(guó)于世界唯一享此殊榮者。1986年，范曾先生捐建南開(kāi)大學(xué)東方藝術(shù)大樓。范曾先生宅心仁厚，慈愛(ài)博施，曾被命名為“中國(guó)十大慈善家之一”。
