Li yuanhong, styled song qing, a native of huangbei, hubei province, was appointed as the chief of the twenty-one mixed association of hubei new army in the late qing dynasty. After the wuchang uprising of October 10, 1911, li yuanhong was promoted from an old soldier who had nothing to do with the revolution to the position of governor of the military government of hubei province. He served as President of the senate in 1914. He was succeeded by the vice President and was briefly forced out of office. In 1922, supported by a line of warlords, he was returned to the presidency. At the beginning of the 20th century, li yuanhong became vice President and President again from an old soldier.
In order to please li yuanhong, some people made some silver commemorative COINS for him. But as he rose and fell, the COINS sometimes appeared and sometimes were destroyed. It can be said that the commemorative coin of li yuanhong is not the same as the commemorative coin of sun yat-sen. The commemorative coin of sun yat-sen has never disappeared, while the commemorative coin of li yuanhong disappeared for a period of time at a certain point in history and then reappeared. So much so that it is now a little difficult for anyone to piece together the political trajectory of li yuanhong's time with commemorative COINS. Because the stock is small, the value is high.
