大清銅幣戶部造鄂字版，錢幣正面珠圈內(nèi)鈐有“大清銅幣”四字，幣心凸起處能看出有一鄂字，乃是湖北省的簡稱；珠圈外上環(huán)滿文，滿文左右有干支紀年“丙午”字樣，左右分列“戶部”二字，注明由此幣的發(fā)行部門；下環(huán)覆滿青銹，但仍可看出其幣值“當(dāng)制錢十文”字樣。 錢幣背面中央為部頒大清龍圖案，表現(xiàn)出了當(dāng)時的國際政治、經(jīng)濟、文化的交融，極具歷史意義。

1906年，清政俯下令停鑄“光緒元寶”，改鑄“大清銅幣”，并頒布統(tǒng)一的祖模，命各地仿鑄。故全國共二十個省局鑄造的“大清銅幣”，盡皆鐫鑄干支年號，無一例外?，F(xiàn)存世的清代“大清銅幣”當(dāng)十，共發(fā)現(xiàn)乙巳、丙午、丁未（光緒三十三年，1907年）、戊申（光緒三十四年，1908年）、己酉（宣統(tǒng)元年，1909年）、辛亥（宣統(tǒng)三年，1911年）六種年號。
