蔣蓉(1919-2008)別號林鳳，出生于宜興穿埠潛洛村的一個(gè)紫砂世家，1956年被江蘇省人民政府任命為基數(shù)輔導(dǎo)；高級工藝師，中國工藝美術(shù)大師。

蔣蓉11歲時(shí)輟學(xué)在家制作紫砂壺，20歲不到時(shí)，隨伯父蔣燕亭到上海學(xué)藝，技藝精進(jìn)，仿制過陳鳴遠(yuǎn)的作品，此時(shí)作品多為花貨擺件。宜興蜀山紫砂合作社成立后，她帶過幾批徒弟，人稱蔣輔導(dǎo)，為7名技術(shù)輔導(dǎo)中最年輕者。她的作品造型，設(shè)色逼真，惟妙惟肖，意趣盎然，自成獨(dú)立的藝術(shù)風(fēng)格。

蔣蓉大師文思敏捷，才華出眾，從藝70多年，把畢生的精力都貢獻(xiàn)給了紫砂事業(yè)。她對紫砂藝術(shù)有著非常深刻的理解，她認(rèn)為：藝術(shù)是發(fā)現(xiàn)、提煉、厚積薄發(fā)；技術(shù)是千錘百煉、功到自成。紫砂壺藝是文化和技藝共同積累的結(jié)果，和其他所有藝術(shù)一樣，技術(shù)是藝術(shù)的基礎(chǔ)，而藝術(shù)是能給人們精神上賞心悅目的享受。

在藝術(shù)實(shí)踐中，蔣蓉大師善于將動物、植物、花果等自然形體，經(jīng)過藝術(shù)提煉、創(chuàng)造，自如運(yùn)用于紫砂作品之中，設(shè)色與造型逼真，融合了藝術(shù)美感與自然生趣，形象色澤及表面肌理都有妙趣天成之感。其創(chuàng)作大多以自然界瓜果、動植物為題材，表現(xiàn)手法以仿生為主，作品形象生動、色彩絢麗，形成了獨(dú)特的紫砂藝術(shù)風(fēng)格。可以說蔣蓉大師在仿生類紫砂藝術(shù)方面的造詣代表了一個(gè)時(shí)代的高峰。

Jiang Rong (1919-2008), nicknamed Lin Feng, was born in a purple sand family in qianluo village, Chuanbu, Yixing. In 1956, he was appointed as the cardinal tutor by the people's Government of Jiangsu Province. He is a senior craftsman and master of Chinese arts and crafts.

When Jiang Rong was 11 years old, she dropped out of school to make a purple clay pot at home. When she was 20 years old, she went to Shanghai with her uncle Jiang Yanting to learn art. Her skills were advanced. She copied Chen Mingyuan's works. At this time, most of them were ornaments made of flowers. After the establishment of Yixing Shushan Zisha cooperative, she took a number of apprentices, called Jiang tutor, the youngest of seven technical tutors. Her works are lifelike, lifelike, full of interest and independent artistic style.

Master Jiang Rong is quick witted and talented. He has been engaged in art for more than 70 years and has devoted his whole life to the cause of Zisha. She has a very deep understanding of Zisha art. She believes that art is discovery, refinement and accumulation; technology is self-improvement. Purple clay pot art is the result of the accumulation of culture and art. Like all other arts, technology is the basis of art, and art can give people spiritual enjoyment.

In the art practice, master Jiang Rong is good at using animals, plants, flowers and fruits and other natural forms, through artistic refinement and creation, freely in the purple sand works. 此壺以蓮蓬為壺身，施綠泥飾蓋、流、把。流口卷荷葉，蓋以蛙形為紐，蓬內(nèi)蓮子皆活，作品形象生動，色彩絢麗,極具收藏價(jià)值。
