文中此幣正面中央珠圈內為唐繼堯免冠淺浮雕頭像，珠圈外兩側菊花枝葉向上環繞珠圈，上緣鐫刻“紀念銅幣”四字；背面，中央珠圈內交叉雙旗紋飾，分別為十八星軍旗和五色國旗，珠圈外，上緣書“云南省造”四字，以示紀地，下緣書“當制錢五十文”六字，以示紀值；上下緣其間左右各列四角小星花為紋飾點綴其間。品相完好，蘊涵了深厚歷史印記，值得收藏。而云南造幣廠設廠較晚，設備又有限，加之戰亂連年，局廠隸屬關系及組織機構更迭多次，使之銀元、銅元各幣種鑄造數額均不大，其中有些品種已成為較難得之稀珍品種。歷史終歸是過去的故事。但是，我們還能從那些鈐刻著不同圖案、紋飾的古舊錢幣上探尋歲月留下的痕跡，尋找那早已被人們忘卻的記憶。而這一切的一切，正是今天收藏和研究中國古舊錢幣的魅力所在，也是其價值的體現。
