當(dāng)貳百銅元的正背面圖案和前期鑄行的當(dāng)五十義旗嘉禾銅元類(lèi)似。正面中心 點(diǎn)珠圈內(nèi)有兩叢嘉禾襯托著的一朵盛開(kāi)的十二瓣扁菊，上緣書(shū)“中華民國(guó)”，下緣書(shū)“當(dāng)貳百文銅元”，兩側(cè) 各有一朵浮雕狀的立體長(zhǎng)六瓣大花；背面中心交叉的雙旗作了明顯的改動(dòng)，象征著辛亥革命和民國(guó)建立的五色旗和鐵血十八星旗被青天白日旗和青天白日滿地紅旗代替。
