該藏品為醬釉梅瓶，高29cm。梅瓶是傳統(tǒng)名瓷，梅瓶是一種小口、短頸、豐肩 、瘦底、圈足的瓶式，以口小只能插梅枝而得名。因瓶體修長(zhǎng)，宋時(shí)稱為“經(jīng)瓶”，作盛酒用器，造型挺秀、俏麗，明朝以后被稱為梅瓶。梅瓶也稱""經(jīng)瓶""，最早出現(xiàn)于唐代，宋遼時(shí)期較為流行，并且出現(xiàn)了許多新品種。近代許之衡在《飲流齋說(shuō)瓷》一書(shū)中詳細(xì)地描述了梅瓶的形制、特征及名稱由來(lái)：""梅瓶口細(xì)而頸短，肩極寬博，至脛稍狹，抵于足微豐，口徑之小僅與梅之瘦骨相稱，故名梅瓶。""關(guān)于梅瓶的用途，磁州窯白地黑花梅瓶器腹有“清沽美酒”與“醉鄉(xiāng)酒海”的詩(shī)句。梅瓶既是酒器，又是一件令人愛(ài)不釋手的觀賞品。因此，這類器多制作精美，不但考慮到貯酒容量，還要注意造型優(yōu)美。該藏品具有極高的市場(chǎng)價(jià)值和升值空間。
