送子觀音
“送子觀音”俗稱“送子娘娘”，是抱著一個(gè)男孩的婦女形象。舊時(shí)中國人，尤其是婦女，崇拜佛教中的觀音，在很大程度上是因?yàn)橄嘈庞^音能夠送子。觀音在佛教中并不是最高神，但由于有了送子功能，其在中國的影響要比佛祖釋迦牟尼大得多。可以說，平常百姓幾乎沒有不知道觀音的，但知道釋迦牟尼的卻并不很多。觀音的寺廟遍布中國，觀音的塑像，無論是被當(dāng)作工藝品，還是被當(dāng)作尊神，也常見于普通人家。觀音是隨著佛教而進(jìn)入中國的。觀音進(jìn)入中國后，受到中國文化的巨大影響，發(fā)生了一連串的變化。
