光緒元寶收藏是收藏錢幣中大類之一，因為年代距離較近，版類多，所以歷來受到很多收藏家的關注。光緒元寶是清朝光緒年間流通的貨幣之一。由湖北兩廣總督張之洞率先引進英國鑄幣機器鑄造銀元和銅元，之后各省紛紛仿效。共有十九個省局鑄造，除中央戶部，地方省所鑄銅元，皆在其正面上緣鐫寫省名。特別以北洋造光緒元寶為例，錢幣類的私下交易中，”北洋造”成為很多買家追逐的焦點。

北洋造光緒元寶北洋龍洋在中國近代機器鑄幣史上屬一個大系列，其鑄期歷時甚長（從光緒22年—光緒34年[1896至1908年]），歷經十余載，幣模幾經更替，即使同一鑄造年份亦往往由于修模、幣材、工藝技術、工廠管理等諸多因素，造成版別異常繁雜：有25年，26年，29年，31年，33年，34年工6個年份版別，其中北洋造34年是藏友收藏的一大體系。
Beiyang Long Yang, which made Guangxu Yuanbao, belongs to a large series in the history of modern Chinese machine minting. Its minting period lasted for a long time (from Guangxu 22 years to Guangxu 34 years [1896-1908]). After more than ten years, the minting models changed several times. Even in the same minting year, many factors, such as mould repair, minting materials, technology and factory management, often resulted in extremely complicated editions: 25 years, 26 years, 29 years, 31 years, 33 years and 34 years of work. Among them, Beiyang Zao 34 years was a large system collected by Tibetan friends.
該幣為北洋造光緒元寶，幣面珠圈內滿漢文“光緒銀元”，上環“北洋造”， 下環“庫平七錢二分” ，字體俊秀，清晰可見。幣背正中蟠龍圖，左右各一六點花星。蟠龍為長須龍，眼神靈異炯炯有神;龍鱗雕刻細密有致，騰云駕霧，身姿遒勁有力;龍爪張揚，神武有力;龍身盤踞太陽，盡展皇家威嚴大氣。
This coin was made in Guangxu silver ingot by Beiyang, with "Guangxu silver dollar" written in Chinese in the bead circle, "Beiyang made" in sheung wan, and "kuping seven cents and two cents" in the lower ring. it was beautifully written and clearly visible. The back of the coin is in the middle of the picture of a coiled dragon with 16 stars on each side. Panlong is a long-bearded dragon with intense and miraculous eyes. Long Lin is finely carved, walking in clouds and driving in mist, and has a powerful figure. The dragon's claws are conspicuous and SHEN WOO is powerful. The dragon's body occupied the sun and displayed the majesty of the royal air.
