1911年辛亥革命爆發(fā)后，革命黨在南京建立臨時(shí)政府，各省代表推舉孫中山為臨時(shí)大總統(tǒng)，1912年元月民國正式建立。民國25年也就是1936年發(fā)行的一枚輔幣，面值為一分。民國二十五年由上海中央造幣廠制造。該幣鑄造時(shí)間達(dá)四年之久，即民國二十五至二十八年。其中民國二十七年鑄數(shù)較少，二十八年最少。此外，天津造幣廠和廣西造幣廠有少量制造，幣上分別加字津、桂，屬珍稀品。
