玻璃隕石顧名思義就是外形與玻璃相似的隕石。是石隕石一種，為石英質(zhì)的隕石，在進(jìn)入大氣層后熔融，墜地后又快速冷凝，顏色有黑、墨綠、棕褐，表層具拉長(zhǎng)狀氣泡及大小不等的圓形氣泡，有的似如月球表面的環(huán)形山狀圖案。中國(guó)古代曾稱它為“雷公墨”。
