1878年8月15日（具體發(fā)行日期迄今為止未見記載，一般認(rèn)為大龍郵票的最早發(fā)行日期為1878年7月24日至8月1日間），清朝政府海關(guān)試辦郵政，首次發(fā)行中國第一套郵票——大龍郵票，這套郵票共3枚，主圖是清皇室的象征——蟠龍。

1878年清朝政府在北京、天津、上海、煙臺(tái)和牛莊（營口）等五處設(shè)立郵政機(jī)構(gòu)，附屬于海關(guān)內(nèi)，上海海關(guān)造冊處當(dāng)年即以蟠龍為圖案印制了一套三枚郵票。郵票圖案正中繪一條五爪蟠龍，襯以云彩水浪，郵票的顏色和面值不同，面值用銀兩計(jì)算：“一分銀”(綠色，寄印刷品郵資)、“三分銀”(紅色，寄普通信函郵資)、“五分銀”(桔黃色，寄掛號(hào)郵資)。這是中國發(fā)行的第一套郵票,集郵界習(xí)慣稱其為“海關(guān)大龍[1] ”，簡稱“大龍郵票”。郵票上“大清郵政局”5個(gè)字十分醒目，圖案中的“大龍”兩目圓睜，騰云駕霧，呼之欲出。上方標(biāo)有“CHINA(中國)”，下方標(biāo)有“CANDARIN（S）(海關(guān)關(guān)平銀 分銀)”字樣。
中國的第一枚正式發(fā)行的郵票是大龍票。在發(fā)行之前，清海關(guān)設(shè)計(jì)了三款郵票草圖，即云龍、寶塔和萬年有象圖，其中“萬年有象”最為珍貴，價(jià)值連城。大龍郵票有薄紙大龍、闊邊大龍和厚紙大龍。
In 1878, the Qing government set up five postal offices in Beijing, Tianjin, Shanghai, Yantai and Niuzhuang (Yingkou), affiliated to the Customs. In that year, the Shanghai Customs Registry Office printed a set of three stamps with the design of Panlong. In the middle of the stamp pattern is a five-clawed dragon, which is lined with clouds and waves. The color and face value of the stamp are different. The face value of the stamp is calculated in silver pairs: "one silver" (green, postage for printed matter), "three silver" (red, postage for ordinary letters), "five pennies" (orange, postage for registered mail). This is the first set of stamps issued in China. The philatelic circles are used to call them "Customs Dragon [1]", or "Dragon Stamp" for short. The five words of "Daqing Post Office" on the stamp are very striking. The "dragon" in the design is wide-eyed and full of clouds and mists. Above it is marked "CHINA (China)" and below it is marked "CANDARIN (S) (Customs Bank Pension)".
The first official stamp issued in China was the Dragon Stamp. Before the issue, the Qing Customs designed three draft stamps, namely Yunlong, Pagoda and Wannianxiang, among which "Wannianxiang" is the most precious and valuable. Dalong stamps are thin paper dragon, broad-edged dragon and thick paper dragon.
沈陽盛京古玩城收藏專家付強(qiáng)說，當(dāng)時(shí)大龍郵票發(fā)行量共20.6486萬套（資料來源：《中國郵票史》、《中國清代郵票目錄》），由于時(shí)代久遠(yuǎn)，收藏市場中對于該郵票不同種類、不同版本價(jià)值判斷說法非常多，例如，在嘉德2008春季拍賣會(huì)中，大龍郵票三枚全，中上品以5376萬元價(jià)格成交。
Fu Qiang, an expert in the collection of Shenyang Shengjing Antique City, said that at that time, the circulation of Dalong stamps totaled 206,486,000 sets (source: History of Chinese Stamps, Catalogue of Stamps in Qing Dynasty). Because of the long history of the times, there were many comments on the value of different types and versions of the stamps in the collection market, for example, in the spring of 2008 in Jiade. In the seasonal auction, there are three Dalong stamps, and the top and middle products are sold at 53.76 million yuan.
